The Met Gala is held each year on the first Monday in May. In 2022, it will return. As usual, the pricey event will occur this year after being postponed in 2020 and relocated to September the year before. Celebrities from all spheres of life attended the Met Gala to celebrate the launch of the “In America: An Anthology of Fashion” exhibition, which will look at how American fashion has evolved through time. Pieces created by various designers, including Bill Blass, Brooks Brothers, Lloyd Kiva New, and more, will be included in the exhibition, occupying 13 of the museum’s halls from the American period.
The Gilded Glamour, White Tie dress code, which will be strictly enforced on the red carpet, is urged to visitors so that they may adhere to it. Visitors are asked to rethink their late 19th-century clothes. Since Step and Repeat is one of the most photographed locations in the world, actors, models, singers, and designers all brought their finest selves to the event tonight. The Met Gala costumes this year followed a tradition of garnering international attention (see every Met Gala dress from the past ten years here).
